1.1 mL (Note: This volume does not allow for repeat testing.)
Container Type:
Red-top tube, gel-barrier tube, lavender-top (EDTA) tube, or green-top (heparin) tube.
Collection:
Draw two samples: one baseline and one stimulated 60 minutes. If a tube other than a gel-barrier is used, transfer separated serum or plasma to a plastic transport tube. Note: Label each tube with patient’s name, collection time, and date. Submit specimens simultaneously on the same test request form. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, please submit separate frozen specimens for each test requested.
Storage Instructions:
Freeze.
