CT (computed tomography) Scan uses X-rays to make a detailed images of stuctures inside the body. CT generates extremely clear pictures of even very small bones, as well as surrounding tissue such as muscle and blood vessels. It's a noninvasive, safe and well-tolerated procedure. CT is commonly used to produce detailed images of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, and spine. We also provide 3D reconstruction upon order.
MCI offers outpatient independant nuclear medicine. Nuclear Medicine determines the cause of a medical problem based on the function of the organ, tissue, or bone, unlike standard X-ray scans that determine abnormalities based on structural appearance. Nuclear medicine aids in the detection of diseases, tumors, and infections.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an advanced diagnositc imaging procedure that produces detailed images of internal body structures without using radiation or X-rays. MRI is a noninvasive procedure that has no known side effects. Most procedures take approximately 30 to 60 mintues to complete.
Fluoroscopy is a study of moving body structures -- similar to an x-ray "movie". A continuous X-ray beam is passed through the body part being examined. MCI Diagnostic's Interventional Radiologists are able to preform a wide array of diagnostic procedures such as; Discograms, Myelograms, Arthrograms, and Epidural & joint steroid injections.
A Holter Monitor is a small, lightweight monitor that records the electrical conduction of your heart. Because the equipment is so small, the patient can carry it during everyday activity. It is essentially an EKG on the go.
