Evaluate patients suspected of having polymyositis, dermatomyositis, or polymyositis-scleroderma overlap syndrome
Test Information:
Anti-Jo-1 antibodies are present in approximately 20% to 30% of patients with adult-onset polymyositis syndromes. They are present in >65% of patients with both myositis and interstitial lung disease. In such patients, the presence of anti-Jo-1 antibodies may be predictive of a response to steroid treatment.
